Adding Plugins to Eclipse

Eclipse has got different versions,each version is having a special name

1. Eclipse 3.8(Juno)
2. Eclipse 3.7(Indigo)
3. Eclipse 3.6 ( Helios) ,
4. Eclipse 3.5 ( Galileo),
5. Eclipse 3.4(Genemede)
6. Eclipse 3.3(Europa)

There are different vendors that provides eclipse plugins for certain technology. JBoss community is one of them.

Steps to Download Plugin

1.Know your Eclipse version,
Know your eclilpse version and find whether the plugins are available for that versions or not.
Like you maynot install Struts plugin in Eclipse 3.3
Visit http://www.jboss.org/tools/download
for details

2.Find the Update site link for JBOSS tool.
Click on the above url,and from “Update Site” section,Right click on correctVersion of your Eclipse
and copy the link.
For Helios   http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/stable/helios/

3.Install the Plugin to Your Eclipse
On your Eclipse goto Help->Install New Software->Click “Add” button
Name:
Location:-http://download.jboss.org/jbosstools/updates/stable/helios/     (paste above copied link) 

Click OK

4.You will get lots of Plugins option from JBOSS tool like

To install Struts Plugin,Click on Web and Jave EE Development,and select struts tool
Similary you can install hibernate tool,
After selecting struts tool click ok

Then You will get license agreement.choose Yes and click install.
It will install struts Plugin to your Eclipse.
If you get any warning, just say ok.

5.Restart the Eclipse  to reflect the changes
6.Finally Creating Struts Project
goto File->New->others->JBoss Tool Web->Struts->Struts Project

Then Go on

Note:
This plugin supports only upto struts 1.2.
For latest updates we need to wait or find some other update site link.
This plugin doesnot  generate Action classes, FormBean classes,We need to manually code it.
